Indian Summer

It would appear that whatever the economy wants to throw at us
there still lies some positive's within the debris. Are we lucky?
Penyards I mean or do we get our just desserts from years of trying
to perfect the art of estate agency. Why do we ask? well for the
last few weeks, amongst the anxiety of it all, we appear to
continue to buck the trend of under performance within the
industry. Each office has achieved target for the past seven weeks
and the overall performance of the company leaves us only a few
percentage points down on this time last year, and a few points up
on the previous year. Ok we do have another office now, but have a
heart, these are pretty good results given the current economic
climate. The question is of course why or even how? If we believe
our own 'trumpet blowing' its because of our 'edge' the dynamics of
being aggressive not passive, positive instead of negative.
exclusive as opposed to inclusive and most all, as documented in
our corporate brochure, 'IF YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN OR YOU BELIEVE YOU
CAN'T YOU ARE RIGHT' and hell we believe we can. So autumn,
September with promises of good news from the government, a slow in
the oil price and better new mortgage rates, perhaps we will have
an Indian summer. Graham Evans, Chairman.
