Good for you Anna
Many thanks to Anna Sofat from Addidi. Why? She was part of an
interview feature on radio 4 lunchtime programme on Thursday 29th
May. A breath of fresh air I might add. Anna when questioned about
the REAL effects of the suggested decline in the property market
commented swiftly on the variations that exist and that mass
generalisation served no purpose in accurate reporting. She
identified with regional variations, variations from coast to
countryside and the differences north, south, east and west. Anna
also commented that the number of transactions were no longer in
decline. Sighting, as is our way, other commentaries, there was an
interesting report in last Sundays Telegraph, economy pages. Do we
believe what we see or what we read. We feel that now people are
slightly tired of false and pessimistic reports, more people are
looking inward and asking the question, 'has this credit crunch
adversely affected us' and in most cases the answer is no,
certainly not to the extent that the press would have us believe.
Ok oil & food prices could be better (not much worse we would
hope), but is the credit crunch being used as justification to cash
in and get rich quick from those accelerated price increases, are
certain organisations using this global crises as an excuse rather
than a reason? It is always refreshing to see those who are
prepared to say 'enough is enough' lets use our own instincts and
not be part of a self fulfilling prophecy. Our view is, 'if you
believe you can or you believe you can't, you are right'. As a
nation we would always make it happen, a restoration of those times
is long overdue.
