A very pleasant and prosperous place to live!
We are just about to draw a close to the first half of this very
interesting and challenging year. Many predictions for the
Hampshire market place fell short of expectation due to very slow
start, however, the BBC have just produced a report outlining a
much better performance in May and sentiment suggests that June
will continue with some buoyancy and good buying signs. Last week
the Daily Express even heralded a return to growth in values, but
of course, upon closer inspection, we can see that it applies
largely, if not entirely, to London and the South East of
England.
Well Hampshire enjoys the privilege of being one of the
wealthiest counties in the UK, its country house market generally
bucks every trend and resilience generally across the south seems
in imply that better times might be around the corner soon.It has,
as we know, been a common forecast of the Bank of England, the
exchequer and many other well renowned pundits that the second half
of 2012 would see the start of slow growth, lower unemployment,
falling inflation, stable record low interest rates and a marginal
growth in property values, and for once they might be right.

in the Hampshire countryside and villages, the City of Winchester,
over the cattle grid in to the New Forest National Park or across
the water to the Isle of Wight, we have it covered. Our exposure in
these markets continues to grow and expand with more offices and
staff, more advertising, and increase in coverage through lifestyle
magazines as well as newspaper print. With the aid of first class
graduates from Winchester University we are also in a phase for the
development of our social media sites, something to watch out for.
But we will not rest on our laurels and more will follow in 2012
part two, so watch this space.
